Positioning Yourself for a Board Role

If securing a board role is something that interests you, it is time to start taking the necessary steps to position your experience and qualifications in a way that gets you exposure to board opportunities. Whether you're interesting in serving as a volunteer or in a paid position (which is more challenging than the latter), it takes a proactive approach by professionals to get themselves noticed.

There are a cadre of non-profits and companies looking for talented advisers, and this workshop will help you aligning your specific skills with the type of organization that would be a good fit.

Attend and learn:

  • To hone your expertise and decide what skill set you'd like to bring to the board
  • How to pinpoint your industries and organizations of interest
  • How to promote your skills, boost your visibility and be noticed
  • To build relationships with those who can advocate for you when board recruitment starts
  • What commitments you should expect in various board roles

Includes light refreshments.  Registration is required. Walk-ins will be permitted as space allows.
