How to Analyze and Effectively Communicate Your Data
Instructor: Dr. Terence Ow, Associate Professor of Information Technology, Marquette University

Are you responsible for representing data in your day-to-day job? Is it important for you to be able to tell stories through graphs and presentations? If you ever find yourself needing to communicate something to someone using data, this workshop is for you! Whether you're an analyst crunching numbers, a manager needing to communicate the analyses, or a leader responsible for presentations to your board or other stakeholders, this workshop will discuss techniques necessary to effectively convey your message with data.

We’ll cover principles of making compelling points supported by data:

1) Understand the problem,
2) Find the Data
3) Pick the Right Analysis
4) Choose the right display to convey the message
5) Tell a story and present your results

Dr. Ow will guide you though this high-level workshop, helping you strengthen your use and communication of data.
