Ann Stadler

VP + Chief Marketing Officer, Marcus Theatres Corporation

When Ann Stadler joined Marcus Theatres as Chief Marketing Officer, she revamped the audience development and engagement strategy for the company’s 1,106 theaters (across 91 cities and 17 states). Within three years, the company had boosted audience attendance by 32 percent and more than doubled its stock value.

Stadler has helped to usher in a “new-age” of movie-going throughout the Marcus Theatres circuit – and she did it by responding to the rapidly-changing entertainment industry with agility, creativity and innovation.

Here’s your chance to have coffee with Ann, a marketing master!  Begin your day with her inspiring career story, and head to work ready to make a difference in your own way.

Ann Stadler is charged with overseeing the branding and marketing for Marcus Theatres, the fourth largest theater circuit in the U.S. After joining the company in 2014, Ann set about launching a brand-new loyalty program named Magical Movie Rewards. The effort proved to be an instant success, enrolling 500,000 members in its first four months. Currently, there are over 4 million people registered across the company’s three brands: Marcus Theatres, Movie Tavern by Marcus and BistroPlex.

Ann leads a dynamic team responsible for implementing admissions programs (like $5 Movie Tuesdays), building awareness for new amenities and locations (including the Movie Tavern by Marcus at Brookfield Square), engaging with charitable partners, and more.

In 2017, Ann was named the Milwaukee Business Journal’s “Chief Marketing Officer of the Year” and has been recognized as one of Celluloid Junkie’s “Top 50 Women in Global Cinema” for the past two years. She is the former VP of Marketing Communications for United Way of Greater Milwaukee and has an extensive background in agency advertising and instruction at the college level.

Ann is deeply engaged in charitable, community and advocacy work including the United Way, Will Roger’s Foundation, Variety and TEMPO.  She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communication & Rhetorical Studies, Marketing and Business Administration from Marquette University.
