Steve Costello
President & CEO, BMO Harris Bradley Center

Steve Costello joined the BMOHBC team in 1987, during construction and one year before the then Bradley Center opened. Steve has played a part in many aspects of the sports and entertainment business in his 37 years in the profession; including Bradley Center stints as General Manager, Vice President and COO. He has been its senior executive since 2004.

Steve Costello is president and CEO of Bradley Center Sports and Entertainment Corporation, a public not-for-profit corporation created under Chapter 232 of Wisconsin State Statute, owner and operator of the BMO Harris Bradley Center (BMHBC).

As CEO, Steve provides leadership for the organizational vision and strategic direction, as developed by its board of directors, for the Center’s service to the community. Advancing tenant relationships, securing public, private, and community programming, assuring the fiscal stability of the community asset, nurturing a outstanding workforce and workplace culture, and building the Bradley Center’s connections with and service to the wider community are all additional aspects of Steve’s role as chief executive.

Service to the community is at the heart of The Bradley Center’s mission, and a core value for many of its staff. As president, Steve has worked with scores of local community organizations to facilitate fund raising events and other special activities, and serves on the Milwaukee RiverWalk District board, and Westown Association board where he is a past president.

Prior to the Bradley Center, Steve spent 7 years working for Syracuse University in various capacities, where he attended Syracuse University as an undergraduate. Active in the Sports and Entertainment Industry, Steve is a member of numerous professional organizations including the International Association of Venue Managers.

Steve, his wife Lori and, their golden retriever Sammy live in Milwaukee’s Beerline neighborhood.

The BMO Harris Bradley Center

The Bradley Center opened in 1988 and is a gift to the people of the state of Wisconsin from the late Jane Bradley Pettit in memory of her father, Harry Lynde Bradley. The BMO Harris Bradley Center is set to close in the summer of 2018 and be demolished after the new Bucks arena opens in the fall of 2018.

When Jane Bradley Pettit announced in 1985 she would fund a new arena for Milwaukee, it was mostly celebrated as the move that would keep the Bucks in Milwaukee. But in the years and decades to follow, Mrs. Pettit’s community gift has had an indelible and far-reaching impact that goes well beyond basketball.

The BMO Harris Bradley Center is an integral part of the community’s fabric and history. It has helped make Milwaukee a must-stop for top artists and the world’s biggest touring shows. It has been an economic powerhouse that has generated jobs, new revenue and waves of downtown development that have made our city stronger. And it has been a motivator for Milwaukee to dream of and pursue big ideas for its future. While the Center’s days are numbered, its influence – and Mrs. Pettit’s – will continue to be part of our community for generations to come.
