Sales Skills for Non-Sales Professionals
Instructor: Shari Saeger, Association for Talent Development (SE WI Chapter)

It's good to know some sales techniques, even if you don't work in a formal sales role. Whether you're trying to convince a new person to join your organization, or describing a new product to a client over a catch-up call, knowing how to sell is a great ability to have, and it's one that's sure to be respected strongly within your company.

In this workshop, we'll look at the basic principles of sales, and examine how you can apply it to influence decision makers. We'll look at how to prepare, what to say, and how to handle questions and objections.

Note: This workshop runs from 12pm-1:30pm, 30 minutes longer than the other Bootcamp Lunch & Learns.


Passionate about helping people grow professionally and personally, Shari Saeger built and turned around a number of Sales and Support teams in the telecommunications and ecommerce marketing industries. She credits her success with understanding how to inspire, train and develop people in order to build high performance teams.

With over 25 years of experience leading others, Shari focuses on coaching and developing individual strengths, building teamwork and defining systems and processes to support team success. She has facilitated

 over 250 workshops and classes over the past ten years in business, higher education and volunteer work in the community.

Saeger VP of Community Relations for the Southeastern Wisconsin Chapter of the Association for Talent Development where she serves as volunteer coach for the United Way Speakers Bureau.  She has also recently joined MRA as a trainer and will be focused on facilitating the sales training programs offered to its members.   

Saeger holds a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration from St. Norbert College and received Certificates in Train the Trainer and Organizational Development from UW-Milwaukee in 2014.
