Designing + Delivering Great Presentations
Instructor: Kim Huettl, Graduate Program Recruiter @ Marquette

Delivering presentations is your time to shine.  You should hit that stage (or front of the room) confident that you’re ready to share your knowledge and expertise in an engaging and compelling way.

Whether you’re already TED-Talk-primed or still feeling a little anxious about using PowerPoint, this workshop will help you hone the skills needed to develop and deliver more masterful presentations.

Instructor Kim Huetll will guide you through the key components of presentations.  Focusing on content, design, and delivery, she’ll help you construct talks that will have people asking for more.

You will learn to:

  • Tailor your presentations to your specific audiences
  • Present your information in a clear, concise, and persuasive manner
  • Design your presentation’s visual aids in a persuasive and interesting way
  • Use a diversity of presentation tactics to appeal to the various learning-styles in the room

After completing this workshop, you’ll be prepped and ready to take to the stage. Don’t miss this one.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR

With a career spent empowering diverse populations to access the college experience in the metropolitan Milwaukee area, Kim Huettl has over fifteen years teaching and 20 years supervising student and professional employees to reach their full potential through coaching and mentoring.  She is an administrator who understands the importance of quantitative and qualitative data collection for assessment and program improvement.  As a public speaking instructor and presenter herself, Kim is no stranger to the “death by PowerPoint” phenomenon and looks forward to helping you end this epidemic!

Her undergraduate degree is in drama and minor in English from Clarke University, so Kim spent her early years in Milwaukee working as a professional actress. But a deep passion for access to education for all led her to pursue a Masters degree in Adult Education and Development Studies at National-Louis University. Kim coordinated learning services at Alverno College and Mount Mary University while also teaching writing and public speaking before moving into administrative roles at Mount Mary and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She is currently the Graduate Programs Recruiter at Marquette University’s Graduate School of Management.
