John Kissinger

President and Chief Executive Officer, GRAEF

It all started with a Tonka truck.  John Kissinger’s love for building things started when his dad – who is an engineer – encouraged him to push the sand around until it became something new.  Pretending led to dreaming and dreaming to hard work – which paid off for Kissinger.  Now, he heads up one of the midwest’s largest engineering and design firms and has “pushed around the sand” on high-profile projects like the
Milwaukee Art Museum’s iconic Calatrava, the downtown MKE Wisconsin Center, and a Lambeau Field renovation.

Under Kissinger’s direction GRAEF is expanding into new markets: Miami and Minneapolis.  Closer to home, the company will be moving its suburban headquarters into the revamped Shops of Grand Avenue – a move that will anchor the mall’s renovation project and bring GRAEF’s 170 local jobs downtown.

Join FUEL as we sit down with John Kissinger over a cuppa and hear all about what he thinks it takes to build a career, engineer leadership, and construct the life you dreamed about as a child.
