VISUAL GOAL SETTING FOR 2019
INSTRUCTOR: SUMMER HILL, TRAINING DIRECTOR FOR SHOREWEST REALTORS

Every year we set goals, only to find that a few months into the new year we’ve made little headway in achieving the things we started off so passionate about.  Feeling guilty?  Well, don’t because that’s just the way the human mind works. Without strong visual cues or constant environmental reminders to do something new, we just go back to default habits and patterns.

The practice of plotting out and visually declaring what you want for your life helps to rewire your brain and establish new patterns.  People like John Assaraf (entrepreneur and brain researcher), Jack Nicklaus (golf champion) and Oprah Winfrey (media mogul) swear that they intentionally created outcomes by using visualization tactics like vision boards.

In this workshop, you'll learn the science of visualization and best practices when creating a vision board. Summer Hill, Training Director for Shorewest Realtors, will guide you through the work of defining your goals and then explain how to best organize your dreams visually on a digital vision board or physical poster board.

How it will work:

1.   Print Images: In advance of the workshop, you should go online and print images, quotes and affirmations that you associate with your goals

2.   Identify Your Vision: At the workshop, you’ll complete a workbook that helps you organize your thoughts and identify your vision for yourself

3.   Make a Digital/Traditional Vision Board: Then you’ll create a vision board digitally (bring your laptop or tablet) or you'll make a traditional board with magazines, your printed images, poster board, glue and scissors.

*Note for traditional vision boarders: We will provide poster boards, some magazines, scissors and glue sticks.  But to ensure you have the images you really want, bring print-outs and your own images to supplement what we’re providing.
