Jim Paetsch
Vice President of Corporate Relocation, Expansion & Attraction, Milwaukee 7

Jim Paetsch is a master at compelling manufacturing companies to relocate to or expand within the Milwaukee 7 Region.  By nature, his work is quiet and somewhat behind the scenes, but his diligence, focus and ability to help broker deals has yielded meaningful gains for Milwaukee again and again.  Foxconn, Haribo and Milwaukee Tool are just a few of the deals he’s set in motion.

Join us for an intimate conversation with Jim and he will give us some insight into what it takes to woo top companies to Milwaukee.  He’ll also shine a spotlight on the many people and organizations working every day to make MKE a more vibrant place to live, work and handle business.

Join us to hear Jim talk about:

  • How he helped put Milwaukee at the center of Foxconn’s search for a new home
  • What companies generally look for when relocating/expanding and what sets MKE apart from other regions
  • Major challenges and amenities impacting the Region's efforts to woo new business
  • Details on tax incentives and the real cost/benefit for Milwaukeeans
  • The economic impact to the region and more

If you have any interest in economic development or want some insight into Jim’s career as a “corporate-whisperer you won’t want to miss this Leadership Luncheon.

Jim Paetsch is Vice President of the Milwaukee 7, the regional economic development entity for southeastern Wisconsin, and oversees the organization’s corporate attraction, expansion and retention activities.  Jim works directly with companies looking to create jobs and invest capital in the region.

Since its inception in 2005, the Milwaukee 7 has worked with its regional and state partners to create/retain more than 29,000 jobs and spur $11.5 billion of capital investment. Recent project wins include Taiwanese electronics manufacturer Foxconn, Milwaukee e-commerce company Direct Supply, and German gummy bear producer Haribo.

Jim holds masters degrees from Northwestern University and UW-Milwaukee.
