Flexibility Research and Findings
The When Work Works initiative is grounded in the Families and Work Institute's research findings. National studies of employees and employers indicate that effective and flexible workplaces yield beneficial work and health related outcomes. In fact, employees in effective and flexible workplaces report:
•greater engagement on the job
•greater job satisfaction
•greater desire to stay with the organization
•better overall health
•less frequent minor health problems
•lower stress levels and fewer signs of depression
The Families and Work Institute provides further research materials and reports about workplace flexibility.
